  2. Closed Room

One closed room to sit around and
think. To think about life, to
    think about the pain.
The pain that hurts, the pain
that comes from dealing with him.
A closed room full of memories.
    Fun memories, bad memories, painful
memories and memories that want seem
    to fade away.
A closed room full of a fist load of
things that I don't regret one bit.
This room is my heart. A heart
full of things I wouldn't change.

  3. Drama. . .

    They really don't see
    How much this affects me
I tell them over and over again
    But they just don't listen
    They laugh and they giggle
    And tell the whole world
    Yeah, that's because they're
    The typical popular girl
When I put them in their place
They go and be two faced
    High school sucks
    I hope
    In college
    I will have better luck.
All the drama, all the haters, backstabbers
    And liars
You got to pick your friends
    Like your walking on fire.
    All the guys
    The lies
    The rumors
Shouting things that don't need to be shouted
    Finding a true friend?
Ah ha ha I doubt it.
    Flirting is not so bad
    It's a sigh of affection
    Fighting in hallways
    Automatic Detention
    Walking around
    All alone
    Gives you time to think
    All the strength you've grown
    Now that I am stronger
    I'll fight and defend
Because I am a true friend
And i will always be there
    To the end.

  6. Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door-
"Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
    Only this, and nothing more."
    Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow;- vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow- sorrow for the lost Lenore-
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore-
    Nameless here for evermore.
And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
    Thrilled me- filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,
"Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door-
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;-
This it is, and nothing more."
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
    "Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
    That I scarce was sure I heard you"- here I opened wide the door;
    - Darkness there, and nothing more.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
    Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore!"
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!"
    - Merely this, and nothing more.
Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
"Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice:
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore-
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;-
'Tis the wind and nothing more."
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
    In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;
    Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door-
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door-
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore.
"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the Nightly shore-
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
    Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
    Though its answer little meaning- little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blest with seeing bird above his chamber door-
Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
    With such name as "Nevermore."
But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered- not a feather then he fluttered-

    ReplyDelete
  7. Till I scarcely more than muttered, "other friends have flown before-
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."
    Then the bird said, "Nevermore."
Wondering at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
"Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore-
Till the dirges of his Hope that melancholy burden bore Of 'Never- nevermore'."
But the Raven still beguiling all my fancy into smiling,
    Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door;
Then upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore-
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
    Meant in croaking "Nevermore."
This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
    To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamplight gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamplight gloating o'er,
    She shall press, ah, nevermore!
Then me thought the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose footfalls tinkled on the tufted floor.
"Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee- by these angels he hath sent thee
Respite- respite and nepenthe, from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!"
    Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still, if bird or devil!-
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted-
On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore-
Is there- is there balm in Gilead?- tell me- tell me, I implore!"
    Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil- prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us- by that God we both adore-
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore-
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore."
    Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
"Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend," I shrieked, upstarting-
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!- quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
    Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
    On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
    And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
    Shall be lifted -
    Nevermore!

  8. Silent in the night they came
    They have no name
    They use stealth and speed
    They jump through trees
    They don't hear pleas
    And kill with ease
They are assassins of the night
They will be our ending might

  9. Smiles!

    Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu.
when someone smiled at me today,
    I started smiling too.

    I passed around the corner,
    and someone saw my grin.
    when he smiled I realized.
I’d passed it on to him!

    I thought about that smile,
    then I realized it's worth.
a single smile just like mine,
    could travel round the Earth....

  11. I feel your pain, you feel mine; let’s go inside each other’s minds
I stay low, posers fly high, the sun shines in there sightless eyes
Most are blind from their cries while others cover up hate with lies.
They’re faced with demons, addicted to hearin’ victims screamin’
I scream in my head cause all I do is dream big,
    the same posers play dead
When it comes to a decision of life or death.
That’s just the way it is, Things’ll never be the same,
I wish I could have the life of fortune and fame.
Hope hasn’t failed on the last name.
I laugh when grown men play the frame game, it’s a real shame
I know your pain, that’s where I came from.
    That’s where I’ve always been.
Live the life to the fullest, drop the top look up and make the sky grin.
Put god in your heart, try your hardest not to sin.

Pretty little lady, with your swollen eyes wont you show them to me?
You never deserve to wear your eyes with tears pouring out for a fool
And yet you still go back
You still return to the same skylines that leave you broken
I’ve been waiting my whole life for someone like you
They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need
Let me love you dear just for forever
Your thoughts are in a bunch
Oh how much I want you to be crazy over to me, like I am for you
Side to side ,let me kiss your skin and let this music cry, listen to my voice let me send shivers down your spine.
    And everywhere I go , you’re all I see
Visions, hopes, and dreams with you is all I ever want to see
Words I proclaim to you just don’t do it , does it ?
Let me show you I’m the one and the only one
I can tell why, the way you bite your nails and curl your hair there’s not just me but another one so that makes two
No baby , I just won’t just leave I’ll stay here and fight for the best thing for me
You deserve better and that better is me
You just don’t see what he does when you’re not around
Calling and texting other woman, making plans when you’re gone
This so called “lover” of yours is treating you like a game
Dear love I will love you more than you will ever know.

  12. My Beautiful Poem 

So many people never find the one
That’s why I really got to tell you something
This may be kind of hard to do
I got a lot to say so I guess I’ll start by saying that I love you
You say that sometimes you wish that you could just rip out a page of your memory
Good thing most of our moments together were never spent in misery
I sit and think of our future wondering how life would be
Then I realized I couldn’t do this thing called life without you here with me
I hope we will never experience the moral of most love songs
The simple fact that you never know what you have until it’s gone
Your friends said you should have dated other men
But I will be the one that will always love you like I’ll never see you again
Each day went by and I never took your love for granted
Because in my heart my love for you is forever implanted
You are the only girl that I will have a special place in my heart for
Because no one else has ever made me feel so special like you do before
I promise I will be right beside you until the end of time
Because I have faith in you and I, so put your pretty little hand in mine.

    - Anonymous
    I’m glad you came
Your love pours down on me surrounds me like a water fall
For one more chance to hold you close
Holding grudges over love is ancient artifacts
I used to dream about the life I’m living now
I wish I could go back
Just looking at you makes me want what we had
All you did broke my heart
Don’t ask me, I’ll never tell
It’s time to forget the past and move on
The way you smile at the ground ain’t hard to tell
How happy you are without me
I look into your eyes and see all the regret
You want to come back to me
Should I give you that chance?
    You are not worthy
    Useless
    Waste of time
    It’s time to let go
    I’ll never forget, goodbye.

    given to the Living,
    yet meaning the Dead...
    A flower of Pink,
    with Love in the air,
    and notes in bloody ink...
    A flower of White,
    innocence and weddings,
    soon Death shall bite...
    A flower of Black,
    meaning birth and reborn,
remember to give Life something back,
    before Death shall adorn...!

  14. Together
    By:Praveen

    Just you and me,
holding hands and looking into each other's eyes,
    it's been a while,
    it's been a long time;
    lost in this madness of life;
    closer but farther away,
    from each other,
    I don't know what to do;
    alone and lost,
this dream is all that keeps me alive,
    keeps me and you alive,
    waiting for the moment it becomes a reality;
    counting the days,
to meet you on the other side,
    high above the world,
    over and over in my mind;
I close my eyes and I see you there,
I drift away to sleep and you are there,
waiting for me to escape reality and dive into this dream,
    where you and me, together;
    together, till the shining sun,
    together, till madness rises again,
together, we will makethis dream come true,
    together sooner!

  15. You see all these people
    Getting killed, and dying.
    People sitting around, looking at the clock;
    Staring and crying.
    The struggles I’m facing,
    The chances I’m taking
    Sometimes might knock me down,
    But no, I’m not breaking.
    Life’s a challenge,
Not everything works out as planned.
Maybe if we think, wish, hope and pray
    Things might come true.
That’s all you really can do.
It's a great day to be alive.
I know the sun's still shining when I close my eyes.
All these people judging now a day,
I have some issues that nobody can see
The sad part is nobody here knows me.
    But honestly,
You have knocked me off my feet,
Got me feelin’ like a nothin’
    Momma’s always told me
It’s so easy to hurt others when you can’t feel the pain.
So when you lay down at night I hope you’re upset.
    I will never again let
    You talk down to me.
I’m beautiful in my own way,
    Because God makes no mistakes
    So tell me something..
Why you gotta be so mean?

    Illusion and Reality

    A world where roses bloom
    Beautiful, transparent illusion
    Sweet smells
    Peace and beauty intertwined.
I could stay there, close my eyes
That transparent wall, my side a dark night
Your knuckles bruised from a losing fight
    Pain and suffering
    Pounding pulse
Beat inside me, leave you blind
I’m sick of all the insincere
    The slithering serpents
    To my dark night.
I’ll never let a love get so close
    The dull ache
    Of my heart
    The crushing weight of night
    Taught me to everything good,
    There is also bad
    And that heaven is overrated.

  16. We used to be in love, deep in love.
We fell off, ending things on a bad note.
Until you kissed my lips, and saved me,*
    I always doubted you.
You tried to apologize, to win my heart back over.
But it’s too late to apologize, too late.*
I told you I’ll be there for you, *
I will care for you, you just don’t know.*
But the way things are now, I have to let that promise go.
I still think of you, you’re always in my mind.
    This, I can’t deny.
I’m sure you try forgetting me,
But I’m trying to be unforgettable,* because I know you still love me.
I keep my guard up, so you can’t make me fall, again.
Because of you, it’ll be hard for me to love again.
You think I’m so caught up in where I am right now*
But I remember it all, and how we used to be.
Never mind, I’ll find someone like you, *
    Hopefully, I do.
After all you’ve put me through; I still have love for you.
I swear, I start to think that I’m going crazy*.

You’re only as tall, as your heart will let you be
And you're only as small as the world will make you seem.
Never give up when you feel bad inside
Remember the grass is greener on the other side.
You better love what you got, before you go and give it away
Because you never know what will come another day.
    Always listen to your heart
But do not ever fall apart.
Love is the only thing that has kept me believing
Even though it may sound deceiving.
    I am sick of apathy
    Instead of harmony.
Make the best of your life
    And always think twice.
I am tired of people being so cruel
All because they think it is cool.
I just want to get away from this town that was so mean to me
And go somewhere where I can be free.
Let’s just live in a world full of love
So trade your guns and fire with doves.

    My Life

    Life isn’t so easy
No love from my daddy ‘cause the coward wasn’t there
Through it all I’m still here
So I continue my plan and I’m sure like white sand
After a while it seems like a beautiful dream
    Then the nightmare reappears
Maybe you died cause everybody ask me where you at
    I don’t really care
You should suffer like I did.
They say love is the key; somebody must have changed the locks
No remorse for your cold heart
I’m glad that we’re far apart
I knew your kindness wouldn’t last
    It was all an act
    You wanted me out
So I’m floating away like a leaf on the lake; I’m gone like delete and erase
Bad memories float around in my brain
Your words replay like a bad record
I learned working with the negatives could make for better pictures
Turns out I’m better without you
    My tears have dried
    I’m finally happy.

    BASKETBALL

As I dribble down the court

    I hear the whistle blow

The ref yells out two shots

And sends me for a free throw

I make my first shot it goes down with a swish

But for my second shot I could only wish

I really want to make it

Go ahead and save the game

But instead I air-balled and felt really lame

Coach called a time out and said I want the ball

Steal it on the throw in and we will win it all

The center throws the ball in and our player jumps in front

He throws his little hands up and the ball goes bump

It’s in the air now and it is right where I can see

So I jump as high as I can and it lands right on me

I dribble to the three point line, stopped and popped a shot

But next thing that I knew it bounced right out

The teams scrambled for a rebound we’re still trailing them by three

But out of nowhere our team grabs the ball and throws it back out to me

I try to take the three again and this time it’s a swish

I never could have done it without our team’s dish

My coach said I saved the game with my Hail Mary shot

He jumped up and down and celebrated quite a lot

    We’re going to the championship

    Hooray Yee hah Yippee

We never could have done it without Patrick Cassidy

    As the old cliche' goes
So always do things in moderation
Just like The Lord of Heaven knows

The blessings of God are great
    As anyone can clearly see
    And when done in moderation
We all can live quite free

  29. [Hate of Highschool]

    Highschool's cool,
but it can sometimes be cruel.
    Some people start drama,
most of the time it comes back like karma.
Now most of you know me, I'm not like any other girl,
but alot of people say stuff that puts me in a whirl.
I may be crazy, but never insane,
because I do have a brain, and I know what your sayin'.
And in highschool you go on one "Date"
After that all you will get is "HATE"!
    Highschool can sometimes be great,
it doesnt always have to be about who you hate,
    And who you date.
    Its your Golden years,
    So don't live in fear,
    think Win-Win
    don't ever give in.

The boy you punched in the hall way? He committed suicide a few minutes ago. The girl you called a slut in class today? She's a virgin. The boy you called lame? He has to work every night to support his family. The girl you pushed down the other day? She's already being abused at home. The girl you called fat? She's starving. The man you made fun of with the scars? He fought for our country. The boy you made fun for crying? His mother is dying.

    someone, who just wasn't ready
to be in love. You never understand
what they do and why they do it.
    You drive yourself crazy thinking
why is everything happening this way?
Thinking, will anything ever be the
same again? Wondering what he sees
in her. Most people don't realize
it hurts more then you think... it
    destroys her inside and out.

    Thank God someone invented basketball
It is the center of all life to me
And I'm not really even all that tall.
The sound of that ball bouncing down the court
Or Kobe Bryant swooping to the rim
Makes me forget about life and that I'm short
And that i cannot run and jump like him.

    By: Joe Urrutia
But one day he'll retire and I'll step in
It's showtime out at Staples as before in
And yes, we'll be crowned champions again
I'll tomahawk the rim down to the floor!
    You won't believe the things that i will do;
And all the fans will then say, "Kobe who?".

    And your warm smiles
    Days turned into years
    Since I've last seen you
But it doesn't change what I feel for you

Give it sometime and gain experience

And you will live to show your appearence.
Its not hard to lose, but its hard to win
Thats why courage and braveness come to play
With your mind and courage you can lift your chin
And you will have fans say hey on your day.
Your not alone when your by yourself

  70. "Performance"
    By: Sevryn Schaller
The cool metal chords against my palm,
the leather strap against my back.
    The stage is my home.
It pulls my shirt neck into my throat but I cannot be bothered.
The heavy wooden body against mine and the glossy laquer shining in the sun:
    This is my instrument.

    “My name is Sevryn Schaller…”
I say the same introduction every time.
Explaining how long I’ve been playing and where I’ve been performing.
I wish I could live on the stage and never have to leave my persona I take on.
No one to say youre cocky, only that you are confident on stage.

    The first chord.
Ive been holding the position since my introduction.
It’s so natural now I don’t even think about it like I used to.
I no longer take even a second to think the fret position.
Only think that my hand is in the C position.

I strum once and as the song begins the audience is silenced.
Focus only on my pitch and forget about my guitar.
I feel that that part is what is was born with.
The song continues like I practiced it again and again before the show.
It ends with a single strum and the audience aplauds.
I say thank you like I always do,
a part of my show that I never truly understand because I was the one who played for them.

I exit the stage and set my guitar in its velvet lined case.
I look to my parents who are smiling like they always are when I perform.
I receive my check from the stage manager, wishing it was in cash, and say thank you.
    This is my life, performing.

    We don't have the time

    We spend our days inside
not fully enjoying the days that go by.

    Right now you wish
like a bird you could fly.

    Enjoy every minute
    not just live it.

    Don't rush it
because you can't get it back.

    You will always wonder
where the time goes after it has past.
Time comes first, but never lasts.
